UK Amateur Pole Performer (UKAPP): 2010 Competition

A self-run non profit company, the UKAPP is run for pole dancers by pole dancers and 2010’s competition was more popular than ever……

The UKAPP is about giving non-professional dancers the opportunity to take centre stage. The organisation is known for producing and running fun amateur pole dance competitions, as well as master classes run before and during competitions to raise money for their continuation. Pole dancing is now a widely recognised sport with more and more people wanting to showcase their skills in a non-competitive environment. Competitions run by the UKAPP gives amateurs the chance to show off their acquired skills and win some amazing prizes, whilst gaining confidence and having fun!

After hundreds of entries, heats were held nationwide throughout July and August with 24 making it through to the Grand Final. This took place on September 25th at Batchwood Hall St Albans. Doors opened from 3.45pm for what promised to be a thrilling night of high quality performances!
